Democrat Ann Newman Announces Candidacy for N.C. House District 103

 Charlotte, N.C. – With more than four decades of professional and community service to her credit, Ann Newman has announced her candidacy for the N.C. House of Representatives – District 103. The district encompasses east Charlotte, Matthews and Mint Hill.

A registered nurse and professor of nursing at UNC-Charlotte, Newman currently serves as the president of the Democratic Women of Mecklenburg County.

“Affordable healthcare, bringing good jobs back to North Carolina and solving transportation and housing issues are required to return economic security and well-being to families across the state,” says Newman. “As the representative of District 103, I pledge to pay attention to what the people of Matthews, Mint Hill and east Charlotte are saying and take these concerns to Raleigh.”
